St. Melchizedek
Old Testament priest-king of Salem (Genesis 14:18-20; Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 5-7), "priest of God Most High" who blessed Abraham with bread and wine; type of Christ's eternal priesthood and of the Eucharist (Roman Canon: "the offering of your high priest Melchizedek"). No fixed feast in the Roman calendar; Eastern liturgies commemorate him among the Holy Forefathers.
