St. Mary Mazzarello
Italian foundress (1837-1881), Piedmontese peasant who with St. John Bosco co-founded the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters, 1872) for the education of girls; first superior general until her death at 44. Canonized 1951 by Pius XII.
