St. Martin I
Pope from 649-655, of Todi in Umbria; convened the Lateran Synod of 649 condemning Monothelitism, was arrested in 653 by emissaries of Constans II, taken to Constantinople, condemned, and exiled to Cherson in the Crimea where he died of privation. Last papal martyr.
