St. Mariam Thresia Mankidiyan
Indian Syro-Malabar mystic and foundress of the Congregation of the Holy Family. From childhood she experienced visions, ecstasies, and the stigmata, while devoting herself to nursing the sick and visiting the homes of the poor in her Kerala village. She founded her congregation in 1914 to bring devotion to the Holy Family into ordinary Christian homes, especially through the care of children and the comforting of the sick.
