St. Lydia of Thyatira
1st-century Asian convert, dealer in purple-dyed textiles from Thyatira living at Philippi; first European convert of St. Paul, baptized with her household after hearing Paul preach by the river outside the city (Acts 16:14-15). Hosted the nascent Philippian church. Pre-Congregation.
