St. Lidwina
Dutch mystic (1380-1433) of Schiedam; from a fall while ice-skating at fifteen suffered progressive paralysis and atrocious illnesses for thirty-eight years, offered for the conversion of sinners. Considered patron of ice skaters and the chronically ill. Equipollent canonization 1890 by Leo XIII.
