St. Leander of Seville
Spanish bishop (c. 534-600/601), of Cartagena, elder brother of Sts. Isidore, Fulgentius, and Florentina; archbishop of Seville from c. 578, friend of Pope St. Gregory the Great (whom he met in Constantinople). Persuaded the Visigothic king Reccared to convert from Arianism (589 Council of Toledo). Pre-Congregation.
