St. John Wall
English Franciscan priest (1620-1679), Lancashire-born, friar of Douai who ministered in Worcestershire; arrested during the "Popish Plot" hysteria, hanged, drawn, and quartered at Worcester. One of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales canonized 1970 by Paul VI.
