St. Jacinta Marto
Portuguese shepherd-girl of Aljustrel (1910-1920), youngest of the three Fátima visionaries with her brother St. Francisco and cousin Bl. Lúcia; foretold her own early death and offered intense suffering for the conversion of sinners. Died at age 9 in Lisbon during the Spanish-flu pandemic. Canonized 2017 by Francis on the centenary of the apparitions.

St. Jacinta Marto is invoked as the patron of fatima devotees, sick children, prisoners. Those in these callings or circumstances often turn to this saint in prayer.
