Breton priest and lawyer (1253-1303), studied law at Paris and Orléans, ordained priest 1284 and combined the offices of parish priest and ecclesiastical judge ("official") at Tréguier and Rennes; defended the poor in court, refused bribes, and arbitrated disputes. Patron of lawyers; canonized 1347 by Clement VI.
