St. Ida of Herzfeld
Saxon noblewoman (c. 770-825), granddaughter of Charles Martel; widowed early, she founded the convent of Herzfeld in Westphalia and lived there as a Benedictine, devoting her wealth to the poor. Pre-Congregation cultus.
