Italian co-founder of the Clerks Regular Minor (1563-1608), Neapolitan nobleman; with John Augustine Adorno founded in 1588 a congregation devoted to perpetual eucharistic adoration and mission preaching. Italian patron of cooks (a popular legend tying his name to the kitchen). Canonized 1807 by Pius VII.
