St. Felix IV
Pope from 526-530, Samnite by birth; his appointment was engineered by Theodoric the Ostrogoth. Built the basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian in the Roman Forum from existing imperial buildings, decorated with the celebrated apse mosaic that survives.
