St. Eulalia of Barcelona
Spanish virgin martyr (c. 290-c. 303), 13-year-old who according to legend defied the Diocletian persecution at Barcelona, suffered thirteen tortures, and was crucified on an X-shaped cross. Patron of Barcelona, where her relics rest in the cathedral. Some scholars consider her a Catalan duplicate of St. Eulalia of Mérida.
