St. Elizabeth
Wife of the priest Zechariah and kinswoman of the Virgin Mary; mother of St. John the Baptist (Luke 1). Conceived John in old age after the angel Gabriel announced his birth to Zechariah, and welcomed Mary at the Visitation. Feast November 5.
