St. Claude de la Colombière
French Jesuit (1641-1682), spiritual director of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque at Paray-le-Monial and chief promoter of the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus; later imprisoned in England on suspicion of involvement in the fictitious "Popish Plot." Feast February 15.
