St. Canice
Irish abbot of the 6th century (c. 515-600), also known as Cainnech of Aghaboe; companion of St. Columba on Iona, founder of the monastery of Aghaboe and patron of Kilkenny. Sometimes identified with the Scottish St. Kenneth. Feast October 11.
