St. Boris
Son of St. Vladimir the Great of Kyivan Rus'; refused to take up arms against his elder half-brother Sviatopolk and was assassinated. With his brother Gleb, he was the first saint canonized in the Slavic Church. Canonized in the Catholic Church in 1724 by Pope Benedict XIII. Feast July 24.
