St. Blaise
Bishop of Sebaste in Armenia, martyred under Licinius c. 316; according to legend he saved a child choking on a fishbone, hence the traditional blessing of throats with crossed candles on his feast. One of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Feast February 3.
