St. Benedict Joseph Labre
French pilgrim and beggar saint (1748-1783) who, after being rejected by several monasteries, lived as a wandering pilgrim across Europe before settling in Rome to pray in its churches and sleep in the ruins of the Colosseum. Patron of the homeless and rejected. Feast April 16.
