St. Beatrice of Silva
Portuguese-born Cistercian nun (1424-1490) who founded the Order of the Immaculate Conception (Conceptionists) in Toledo, the first religious order dedicated explicitly to the Immaculate Conception. Sister of St. Amadeus of Portugal. Feast September 1.
