St. Bartholomew of Grottaferrata
Italo-Greek monk and second abbot of the Greek-rite monastery of Grottaferrata near Rome (d. 1055), where he completed the work of his master St. Nilus the Younger. Composed hymns and played a key role in the conversion of the antipope Benedict IX. Feast November 11.
