St. Barbara Yi
Korean girl, age 14-15, imprisoned for her faith during the Gihye Persecution and died of typhoid fever in Seoul prison May 27, 1839. Beatified 1925; canonized 6 May 1984 by Pope John Paul II as one of the 103 Korean Martyrs. Feast September 20.
