St. Avitus of Vienne
Burgundian bishop of Vienne (c. 470-518), theological writer who helped convert King Sigismund of Burgundy from Arianism to Catholic orthodoxy; author of De Spiritalis Historiae Gestis, a Latin verse retelling of Genesis. Feast February 5.
