St. Alexander of Alexandria
Patriarch of Alexandria (c. 250-326), the immediate predecessor of St. Athanasius; convened a local synod that excommunicated the heresiarch Arius and was a leading voice for orthodoxy at the Council of Nicaea (325). Feast February 26.
