St. Adelard of Corbie
Frankish Benedictine abbot of Corbie, cousin of Charlemagne and counselor at the imperial court; founded the abbey of New Corbie (Corvey) in Saxony. Spent a period in exile under Louis the Pious before returning to Corbie. Feast January 2.
